Upper Age limit 30 Years (Not applicable in case of Promotees)
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) is Now Mandatory
Ninety per cent by direct recruitment through Staff Selection Commission (S.S.C.)
Minimum 5 Years Continuous Service for Promotion from Executive Assistant or Stenographer Grade-I (level – 6 ) to Inspectors Posts.

Central Excise Inspectors : 19999
Examiners : 1595
Preventive Officers : 2970
