SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 English Exam Review (19th February 2018)

Hello Friends (19th Feb 2018), 

As we all know that 17-02-2018 onwards SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 exam has been started. Many Candidates has already appeared for this exam on the day one and many more will appear in it today (19.02.2018) and on upcoming days. In this post, we have given overall exam review and questions asked on SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2, based on Students Feedback and Memory.






Exam Pattern : (SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 Paper-2)
  • Exam duration is of 120 minutes (2 Hour).
  • The Total Number of Questions for the Exam is: 200
  • The Total Marks for the Exam is: 200
  • Negative Marking for every wrong answer: -0.25


Timing and Punctuality: 
  • Maths : 10:30 to 12:30
  • English : 3:15 to 5:15 (PM)

SSC is very strict about punctuality, the aspirants reached after 2:45 p.m. (for ENGLISH) were not allowed.



ENGLISH PAPER

REVIEW:
  • Level of paper 2 (English) was Moderate
  • Questions were again jumbled
  • Some of the Vocabs were Repeated and a few were New.
  • Some of PQRS (Parajumble) Questions were lengthy, rest easy.
  • Error detection was of good difficulty level.
  • Idioms and Phrases were Moderate (without Sentence)
  • One word Substitutions were easy
  • Narration was easy
  • Voice was of moderate level
  • Cloze test was moderate level and mostly based on Grammar
  • Some Reading Comprehension was easy level some were moderate
  • The overall Difficulty level can be said to be similar to previous days of CGL17. 
Ideal attempt 175-185 with 85% accuracy.
