1.0 Revision of PwBD Vacancies :

RRBs had notified vacancies for various posts in level-1 of 7th CPC pay matrix including vacancies for PwBD candidates vide Annexure B of detailed CEN 02/2018 published on official websites of all RRBs. In terms of Para 1.10 of general instructions, vacancies indicated in the CEN were provisional and may increase or decrease or even may become NIL in total or in specific community/posts/units at a later stage.

With reference to the directions issued by the Honourable High Court of Delhi in WP No. 1855/2018, the RRB wise and Railways wise vacancies of various posts in level-1 reserved for PwBD candidates stand revised as detailed in the revised Annexure B attached with this Notice. However, in Eastern Railway, since most of the vacancy notified viz Track maintainer-IV, Assistant Pointsman, Gateman, etc are not suitable for PwBD candidates, the shortfall of PwBD vacancies in this notification has been fully covered in the ongoing Notification RRC CEN-01/2019.

It is to be noted that there is NO change in the community wise vacancies notified for UR/SC/ST/OBC except in South Western Railway where in the vacancy of Category Number 3, 12 and 18 have been enhanced.

Further, it is also to be noted that Railways reserves the right to either increase or decrease the vacancies as per the actual requirement of railways at the time of empanelment of the candidates.

2.0 Revision of Priority of Posts by PwBD Candidates as per the Revised PwBD Vacancies:

Consequent to the revision of vacancies as mentioned in Para 1.0 above and detailed in the revised Annexure B, PwBD candidates who qualify as per merit for Document Verification(DV) will be allowed to exercise options for the posts reserved for them at the DV venue of the respective Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC).

During DV, candidates are advised to indicate their priority of posts for as many posts as they are eligible for. In case any candidate opts for only few posts, he/she will be considered only for those opted posts and not for other posts.
