SSC CHSL 2016 Tier 1 Exam Pattern Analysis

SSC CHSL 2016 Tier 1 has been started from 07-01-2017 and it will continue til 09-02-2017. Many candidates wants to know overall exam pattern analysis for the same. In this post we are sharing a brief review on overall exam pattern of SSC CHSL 2016 Tier 1.

The Overall Difficulty level of SSC CHSL 2016 Tier 1 exam was Easy to Moderate. (Based on day 1 feedback)

Order of the Questions/Sections in the exam was as usual (No Change). During actual exam one may start from any section by clicking question number from right side panel. Sections were in the following manner:

1. Reasoning – 1 – 25

2. General Awareness – 26-50

3. Quant – 50- 75

4. English – 76-100

Questions Level Analysis:

I. General Intelligence & Reasoning (Level – Easy )

1. Number Series / Alphabet Series –3-4 Qs.

2. Water Image / Mirror Image – 2 Qs

3. Venn diagram– 1 Qs

4. Matrix – 1 Qs

5. Paper Cutting – 1 Qs

6. Analogy – 2 Qs

7. Classification – 3 Qs

8. Missing Number – 3Qs

Note: Good Attempt in Reasoning Section is 22-24 out of 25 with high accuracy. This section is most scoring and one may score 44-48 in this section.

II. General Awareness (Level Easy to Moderate)

This section had questions from easy to moderate level. If someone has good command over basic GK/GS he could score good and will have a big advantage over others.

Note: Good Attempt in General Awareness Section – 15-18 out of 25 with moderate accuracy. One may score 25-30 score easily in this section.

III. Quantitative Aptitude (Level Easy- Moderate)

1. Number Series – 2 Qs Easy

2. Bar Chart or Pie Chart – 5 Qs Easy

3. Geometry – 4 Qs Easy to moderate

4. Trigonometry – 3 Qs Moderate

5. Rest Miscellaneous Qs – SI & CI, Profit & loss, Percentage, Speed & Distance, Average, etc.

Note: Good Attempt in Maths Section – 20-22 / 25 with high accuracy. 40-44 is decent Score in this section.

IV. English Comprehension (Level – Easy to Moderate)

1. Cloze test -5 Questions -Moderate

2. Antonym & Synonym – 3 /4 Questions Easy

3. Idiom/phrases – 3 Questions Moderate

4. Spelling Correction – 1 Questions Moderate

5. Sentence Improvement – 3 Questions Easy

6. One Word Substitution – 3 Questions Moderate

7. Error Detection – 3 Questions Easy

8. Fill in the blanks – 3 Questions Easy
9. Questions from Voice and Narration - 1 question each (Asked on 1st shift 08-01-16)

Note: Good Attempt in English Section – 20-22 / 25 with good accuracy. One may score 35-40 in this section.

Summary

The Overall Difficulty level of SSC CHSL 2016 Tier 1 Exam was Easy to Moderate. Good attempt is 75-80 with high accuracy which will yield score of 145+. We'll keep updating daily with questions asked and other relevant information.
