SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 (Mains) Exam Review and Questions Asked (Memory Based)

As we all know that today on 30-11-2016, SSC Conducted Tier-2 (Mains) of SSC CGL 2016 Exam. Many Candidates appeared for this exam and many more will appear in it tomorrow. In this post we have given overall exam review and questions asked on SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2, based on Students Feedback.

In Many Centers exam was cancelled.

Maths (Quantitative Aptitude) Questions asked in SSC CGL 2016 Tier-2 (30-11-2016)

Level of paper 1 (Maths) was Moderate. Paper seems to be tough as questions were calculative and lengthy .

Easy Questions : 50

Moderate Questions : 25

Tough Questions : 25

Ideal attempt 70+ with 90% accuracy.

Number System- 10 marks
Percentage - 5 marks
Profit loss- 8 marks
simplification - 2 marks
SI/CI - 4 marks
Ratio Proportion - 4 marks
Time/Speed/Distance - 9 marks
Average - 5 marks
Geometry - 13 marks
Algebra - 12 marks
Mensuration - 13 marks
Trigonometry - 10 marks
Data Interpretation - 5 marks

Arithmetic Questions were lengthy.
Percentage and Time & work Questions were a bit tricky and time- consuming.
2 – 3 Question of Geometry was Easy (direct formula)
3 Questions were asked from Height & Distance. (Important)

Question from Trigonometry: Tan^4Q + Tan^2Q =1 than Cos^4Q + Cos^2Q = ?
Area maximum when perimeter equal? circle, square, triangle
If P=99 find P( p^2+3p+3)
Find no. Of sides of regular polygon. When total surface area,volume,and area of two sides are given.
Sum of square of three no is 323.sum of square of two no. Is equal to the twice of third. Find the product of three no.
Find CI of 4000 for 4 year at 10 %rate
Find. (1+sec20+cot70)(1-cosec20+tan70) something like..
CI difference is 723 at 20% for a yearly or half yearly basis.Find the Sum.
If x=1+√2+√3, then 2x4 – 4x3 -5x2 +26x – 28 = ?

Question paper pattern was similar to previous year questions.
Overall Level of English was easy to moderate.
Error Spotting and Cloze tests were tricky.
Idioms were asked without sentences

Ideal attempt 160-180 with 90% accuracy.

Idioms / Phrases - 12 question (Moderate)
Synonyms / Antonyms - 6 -8 question each (Moderate)
Direct / Indirect Speech - 27 questions
One word Substitution - 10 question
Spelling Correction - 3 -4 question
Sentence Improvement - 20 question
Para-jumbles - 20 questions
Cloze Test - 25 (2 passages with 10- 10 Questions & 1 passage with 5 questions) - Difficult
