AGE Limit for SSC CHSL 2017:

18-27 years as on 01.08.2018 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1991 and not later than 01-08-2000).

Educational Qualification for SSC CHSL 2017 Exam (As on 01.08.2018):

Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

For Data Entry Operator, DEO in (C&AG) Only:

Educational Qualification: 12th standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject form a recognized Board or equivalent.

Skill Test: A speed test of not less than 15000 key depressions per hour for data entry work to be ascertained through speed test on computer.

Typing Test for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant & LDCs :

Typing Test will be conducted in English or Hindi and candidates while applying for the Examination, will have to indicate his/her choice/option for Skill Test Medium in the Application Form.

Candidates opting for English medium should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute. Typing Test will be of qualifying in nature.

The selection is done in the following three phases:

Computer Based Examination (Tier-I)
Descriptive Paper (Tier-II)
Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III)

SSC CHSL Tier I – Exam Pattern

SSC CHSL Tier II – Exam Pattern

It can be taken in either Hindi or English

SSC CHSL Tier-III: Exam Pattern

Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer for DEO.
For post of Data Entry Operator in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): A speed Test of not less than 15000 key depressions per hour for data entry work to be ascertained through speed test on Computer
