SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 Expected Cut-off and analysis of overall exam

Hello Friends,

From past couple of days/weeks Team Qmaths has been continuously receiving lots of messages and mails regarding expected cut-off for SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 (Prelims). As you all understand that it is not possible to predict exact cut-off for SSC CGL tier 1 but on your kind request we have done some analysis and predicted SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 Cut-off.

Question paper analysis:

1) Reasoning : This section is considered to be most scoring section. This year SSC has also introduced couple of tricky and confusing questions overall mostly questions were of same pattern and slightly higher difficulty level as previous years. On average candidates have solved 20+ questions in this section.

2) Quantitative Aptitude (Maths): This was considered to be a deciding factor in previous CGL exams. This time this section was surprisingly lengthy and calculative for first half of test dates and after that level was questions were back to level of CGL 2016. Sincere aspirants may have solved 17-22 Questions depending on their exam date and shift.

3) General Awareness: This section was of moderate level and will be a deciding factor. If one is good at GA and solved this section with high accuracy then it will definitely give him/her an edge over others in mains (Tier II). Good attempt is 15+.

4) English Comprehension: This was of moderate but higher difficulty level as compared to previous year SSC English question. An attempt of 20 + with high accuracy will be considered good.

This year A major change was introduced in time limit of examination. The SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 exam time was reduced to 60 minutes from earlier 75 minutes as seen in CGL-2016

(Poll Data is just a fraction of active candidates on internet, actual average attempt may be lower)

SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Cut-off Prediction

1) First and most important thing is Tier 1 Cut-off doesn't depend on No. of Vacancy of SSC. As its very early stage of vacancy.

2) Due to Reduced time Cut-off will reduce a little, though for most of the sincere aspirants timing was not issue.

3) Due to cheating held by impersonation, Ammy Admin remote support and the corrupted exam centres Cut-off will go high. (No doubt that some of the toppers of Tier-1 fail miserable in Tier-2)

4) Differential Level of Questions were differentiated between different Shifts and days. The candidates of easy shifts will definitely be benefited.

The survey summary
is tabulated in below image.

1) The Most Difficult Shift Was 09th August 2017 (Shift-2) with Average marks of 112.64

2) The Easiest Shift was 23rd August (Shift-2) with Average marks of 141.23

3) The Difference in Marks of easiest and toughest shifts is 28.59 Marks

4) The overall Average marks of All days All Shifts is 127.75

5) SSC CGL is a highly competitive exam where 0.25 marks make a difference and in this case difference is of 28.59 Marks.

6) Our Advice, All sincere candidates form a group and fight against this, only a court order may bring Normalisation and nothing else would work. No twitter, PGPortal, RTI, representation will work. We repeat only a court's order may bring Normalization. Chances are SSC will try to publish result ASAP to avoid this issue.
