Important Instructions for SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Examination

SSC CGLE (Combined Graduate Level Examination), 2017 will be conducted from 5 th August, 2017 to 24th August, 2017, with no exam on 7th, 13th , 14th and 15th August, 2017. The examination will be held on 3 batches/shifts.

Exam timing/schedule for SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1

Batch 1 - 10:00 AM to 11.00 A.M.

Batch 2 - 01.15 PM to 02.15 PM

Batch 3 - 04.15 PM to 05.15 PM

Exam duration is of 1 hour.
The Total Number of Questions for the Exam is: 100
The Total Marks for the Exam is: 200
Negative Marking for every wrong answer : 0.50

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS (Summarized)

1) The entry of the Candidates inside the venue will ONLY be allowed:

between 8.30 AM - 9.30 AM for the first session,
between 11.45 AM - 12.45 PM for the second session and
between 2.45PM – 3.45 PM for the third session.

Note – Entry gates would be closed at 9.30 AM for Batch - I , 12.45 PM for Batch - II, 03.45 PM for Batch -III No candidate would be allowed to enter the examination premises thereafter.

2. Candidates must bring :

Print out of Admit Card
Two copies of their latest colored photo (3 cm x 3.5 cm)
At least one photo identity proof in ORIGINAL with clear photograph
(1. Passport, 2. AADHAR Card, 3. Driving License,4. University /College ID, 5. Voter ID Card and 6. PAN Card)

3) Prohibited items, such as watches, books, pens, paper chits, magazines, electronic gadgets (mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, head phones, pen/buttonhole cameras, scanner, calculator, storage devices etc) are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED in the examination lab.

4) Candidates should not wear charms, veil, items containing metals such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose-pin, chains, necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, hair pin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves or big buttons, etc. Candidates are advised to wear open footwear like chappal, flotter, instead of shoes as the candidates would be asked to remove shoes by the frisking staff.

5) Pen and paper for rough work would be provided in the examination lab.

6) Candidates are cautioned that they should appear only once for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-1), 2017. Any candidate, who appears more than once for the examination, would not only be disqualified from the said examination but would also be debarred for three years from all examinations conducted by the Commission.

7) If the examination does not commence at the scheduled time or is interrupted midway due to any technical snag or for any other reason, candidates should follow the instructions of the exam functionaries. They may have to wait patiently till the issue is suitably addressed and resolved. The Commission would take an appropriate action and decision on the matter which would be final and would be binding.

8) Candidates are advised to report to the concerned Regional office/ Commission, in case they notice any irregularity during conduct of examination. The identity of such candidates will be kept confidential.
