Hello Friends,

As you know today is the third day of SSC CHSL 2017 Examination. The SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1 exam will be conducted from 04th March 2018 to 28th March 2018 in the whole country.  In this post, we have given overall exam review and questions asked on SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1, based on Students Feedback and Memory



Time: 

  • 10:00-11:00 am
  • 1:30-2:30 pm
  • 4:30-5:30 pm

Exam Pattern : (SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1)
  • Exam duration is of 60 minutes (1 Hour).
  • The Total Number of Questions for the Exam is: 100
  • The Total Marks for the Exam is: 200
  • Negative Marking for every wrong answer: -0.50

Below is the section wise exam review and analysis of SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1 Examination


(6th March 2018)

1) Review and Analysis of SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1 (General Intelligence and Reasoning)

  • This was the most scoring section in the whole paper. 
  • The Paper pattern and level of questions were almost same as seen in previous years 
  • A couple of tricky questions were also asked, it's better to skip such questions for the later time. 
  • An attempt of 20-22 questions with high accuracy will be considered good. 
  • Very less no. of non-verbal reasoning questions.
  • No surprises in this section. 
2) Review and Analysis of SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1 (General Awareness - GK)

  • General Awareness questions were easy to moderate depending on ones's knowledgebase.
  • If you are good at GK then this section will boost up your over all score.
  • As usual 3-4 current questions were also asked.  
  • An attempt of 16-18 questions with good accuracy will be considered good. 
  • This Section may be treated average.

3) Review and Analysis of SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1 (Quantitative Aptitude - Maths)
  • Questions were of easy to moderate level. 
  • Trigonometry questions were moderate 
  • Most of the questions were direct formulae based
  • An attempt of 20-22 questions with high accuracy will be considered good. 
  • There were one DI questions set.
Questions from Advance maths and percentage (%, P&L, CI-SI etc) topics were high.

4) Review and Analysis of SSC CHSL 2017 Tier-1 (English Comprehension)

  • English was on similar lines to previous years. 
  • 5 questions from Cloze test were asked. 
  • No questions on Reading Comprehension were asked.  
  • An attempt of 20-22 questions with good accuracy will be considered good. 
  • We suggest you not to attempt the questions you are not sure of because of negative marking.
