SSC Proposes to Challenge CAT order in Delhi High Court (09.01.2018)

As per the judgment given by Central Administrative Tribunal in case O.A/2964/2017, Staff Selection Commission was directed to process the candidature of applicants in the case and to declare their result on the basis of pure merit list.
I would like to know the course of action taken by the commission abiding the aforementioned judgment.

Reply :-

There are number of Court cases related to CGLE 2016 either pending or decided recently by Courts. However, details of such cases are readily not available at any one office of the Commission in compiled form.



Dossiers are being forwarded to User Departments. However, the Commission proposes to challenge the Order of CAT dated 23.10.2017 in the Delhi High Court. The legal process will take its own time and the final outcome is yet to be seen. Hence no firm date/month for completion of nomination process may be predicted at this stage.
