HIGHLIGHTS OF SSC CGL 2017 NOTIFICATION:

0) Ignore Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2016 (Tier-I), in Second line of Notification, this is typo error.

1) Important Dates:

Start Date of Online Application : 16.05.2017
Closing Date:16.06.2017
Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): 01.08.2017-20.08.2017
Date of Tier-II: 10.11.2017 & 11.11.2017
Date of Tier-III (Descriptive): 21.01.2018
Date of Tier-IV (Skill test)- Feb, 2018

2) New Posts Introduced:

Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO)
Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO)
Assistant in other Ministries (GSI)

3) Upper Age Limit Increased upto 30 Years.

Age limit Increased in (CSS, IB, Railways, MEA, AFHQ, ITI, Etc)
Age limit Not Increased in (Some of Other Ministries, Examiner, PO, Excise Inspectors, Inspectors Post, CBN, )
Age limit Not Increased in Group C Posts

4) Age limit will be reckoned as on 1st August, 2017

(i) For Post for which age limit is 20-27 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.1997
(ii) For Post for which age limit is 18-27 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.1999
(iii) For Post for which age limit is 20-30 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1997
(iv) For Post for which age limit is upto 30 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1999
(v) For Post for which age limit is upto 32 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1985 and not later than 01.08.1999

5) The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.

6) For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA) and Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate affairs, Assistant (GSI) in M/o Mines Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification.

7) Candidate may note that only online applications will be accepted at www.ssconline.nic.in.

8) Application Fee & Mode of Payment: Rs. 100 (One hundred only)

All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.

9) Scheme of Examination: Same as SSC CGL 2016

10) SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Exam Duration is of 60 Minutes only. (100 Questions, 200 Marks).

11) No Change in Tier-2 and Tier 3 Exam Pattern

12) Post Preference filled at the time of Document Verification will be deemed final.

13) Only one online application is allowed to be submitted by a candidate for SSC CGL-2017. At the time of appearing in examination the candidates will be required to submit an undertaking that he / she has submitted only one application.

14) Crucial date of OBC Certificates for SSC CGL 2017 is 16.06.2017.

15) The merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. There will be no sectional cut-off.
